Weather Outlook for December 26-29

Tulsa is digging out from the major snowfall we received Christmas Eve, although the temperatures aren’t helping in the snow removal.  Low temps have kept the snow in place and re-froze the little that has melted.  The re-freezing has made travel conditions dangerous in some locations.  It doesn’t look like sunshine and warmer temps will be here to help in the near future either.

The low overnight tonight will be around 20 degrees and tomorrow’s high will struggle to reach the freezing mark.  Then, to add insult to injury, chances of additional snow returns to our area on Tuesday.  I don’t think the next round of winter precip will be major, but any additional snow at this point isn’t really welcomed.

Here’s the NWS foreast for the next few days:

  • Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 18. West wind around 6 mph.
  • Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 32. Northwest wind between 6 and 10 mph.
