Winter is finally moving into NE Oklahoma

The weather pattern will be changing in Oklahoma.  Very cold air and chances of wintry precipitation are moving in.

For Tulsa, the temps are falling.  The overnight low tonight will be 15° with wind chills near 5°.  The high tomorrow will do well to reach the mid to upper 20s.  The wind chill Saturday and Sunday nights is expected to be near zero.

Sunday night and Monday will bring snow, sleet, freezing rain, rain, drizzle and freezing drizzle to NE Oklahoma.  It’s probably not going to be a major storm, but Tulsa could see 2″ of snow and possibly some kind of icing.

One thing I’m sure of:  Winter is here.

At this point, it looks like roads could be hazardous overnight Sunday and Monday morning.  However, it’s early and winter weather seems to change hour-by-hour.  Stay aware of changing weather conditions and, for now, plan for travel delays on Monday.
