Exciting weather? Not so much.

After a much needed vacation, I’m heading back to the office in a few hours.  I was hoping for a big snow storm here in Tulsa that would keep me home for another couple of days, but it doesn’t appear that’s going to happen.  Sunshine and warm temps will.

Warm daytime highs in the 50s and 60s will continue this week and there’s little chance of precip of any kind this week, but it could be a little cold Tuesday night when windy conditions will make wind chill values fall into the single digits.  Other than that, it’s a rather boring week for Oklahoma weather.

Low pressure will affect Oklahoma next weekend that could bring a slight chance of rain to the area.  Very slight, though.  I’m not placing bets on whether or not that will actually happen.

So, enjoy the weather while you can.  I’m sure winter will get us eventually.

Here’s the NWS forecast for the next few days:

Overnight: Mostly clear, with a low around 21. Calm wind becoming south southeast between 5 and 10 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 53. Breezy, with a south wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to between 20 and 25 mph. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 31. Breezy, with a south wind 15 to 20 mph becoming west 5 to 10 mph. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 57. North northwest wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 32. West wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 65.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 37.
