Rain, Freezing Rain and Snow Wednesday night and Thursday

We could see 1-3″ of wintry weather accumulation Wednesday night and Thursday in the Tulsa area.  Wind chills are expected to fall into the single digits.  Be prepared and use caution if you must travel Thursday morning.

Here’s the forecast for Tulsa:

Today: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. North northwest wind between 10 and 15 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 20. Northeast wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 45. Southeast wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: A chance of rain before midnight, then a chance of rain or freezing rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. South southeast wind 5 to 15 mph becoming north northeast. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Thursday: Snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 27. Blustery, with a north northwest wind between 15 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 13.
