Rain will be moving into the Tulsa area this afternoon ahead of a cold front. With that, embedded thunderstorms could bring some moderate rain and sounds of thunder. It doesn’t look like anything will be severe, but temps in the mid to upper 30s will make it a cold rain.
Later today and tonight, the rain will likely turn to an sleet/snow mix. Although it doesn’t look like there will be more than a quarter inch accumulation at the most, it doesn’t take much to make travel hazardous. Temps will fall to near freezing by 9 PM and by morning, we’ll be at 22°.
Winter weather advisories have been issued to the north and east of us. So far, they don’t include Tulsa, but that could change.
