Outlook for December 6-9

We’ve had drizzle and fog in our area most of the day.  By itself, it’s not been a bad day; temperatures have remained in the upper 30’s.  But, the first wave of cold is expected to reach Tulsa overnight and temps will briefly drop below freezing.

Elevated roadways and bridges could become hazardous by morning and extreme caution should be used when traveling early tomorrow.  However, any icing should melt as the morning warms up.

Of course, that’s just our first round.  Rain and winter weather potential will continue Tuesday with a wintry mix and very low temps for Tuesday night.  This set-up could make driving early Wednesday hazardous.  An another round is expected on Friday.
