Rainy and cool weather this week, forecast update

The last day of the Tulsa State Fair will be cool and cloudy, thankfully rain isn’t in the forecast during the day.  But, the high for today will only reach 51 deg, so, if you’re planning on taking the kids to the fair, make sure you take their jackets.

The moisture from the gulf will bring rain chances for this week, beginning Monday evening.  Temperatures will remain in the 50’s during the day and 40’s at night until warmer temps return later in the week.  Warming temperatures combined with the moisture on Wednesday will bring us a slight risk of severe weather, but the risk is very slight.  I think we’ll see mostly rain.  I doubt rain totals will be like they were last week (almost 4″ in Tulsa), but we could see another inch or so of precipitation through the week.

Storm chasing probability?  None.  But you should have a jacket and umbrella handy during the week, it’ll probably be a cool and wet one.
